 At 14:00 local time on May 22, the generating capacity of Port Qasim Coal-fired Power Plant in Pakistan reached 3.5 billion KWH in 2020, making the cumulative generating capacity 20 billion KWH since operation. As a benchmark project under the belt and road initiative, the plant has been playing an exemplary and leading role in alleviating the country's power shortage, restructuring the energy source and improving local development in Pakistan.
