Nam Ngum 5 Hydropower Project completes first CDM carbon trading

On November 23, Nam Ngum 5 power Co.Ltd received the first carbon emission reduction transaction payment paid by CFP (buyer), which is the first overseas project that PowerChina Group(the Group) has benefited from in CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) Project. It is a concrete manifestation of the Group to actively fulfill its social responsibility abroad, which marks an important step to establish its brand image and comprehensively moving towards internationalization. It provides valuable experience for overseas projects to carry out CDM work, and has demonstration significance for Chinese enterprises to develop clean energy and control greenhouse gases overseas.
