Port Qasim Coal-fired Power Plant generated more than 6 billion KWH of electricityin 2021

On August 20, 2021, Port Qasim Coal-fired Power Plant cumulative annual generating capacity exceeded 6 billion KWH.

The Plant provides cheap and reliable electricity for the livelihood of Pakistan and creates value for the Pakistani government and power buyers by taking advantage of low electricity price. Up to now, the power generation company has generated 31.384 billion KWH of electricity since it was put into operation. For two consecutive years, it has become the coal-fired enterprise with the largest installed capacity, the lowest electricity price, the highest load rate and power generation, and the largest support from the Pakistani government and power buyers.
