Nam Ngum 5 Hydropower station has generated more than 4 billion KWH of electricity

By midnight on July 17, 2022, Nam Ngum 5 Hydropower station had been in operation for more than 3,514 consecutive days, generating more than 4 KWH and providing stable and green energy to north Laos. With a total installed capacity of 120 megawatts, the station is the first BOT project invested and constructed by Power China In Laos. Most of the electricity is supplied to Vientiane to promote the development of local tourism, aquaculture and industries.
