Kamchay Hydroelectric Station Hit a New Record of Power Generation after 10 years of Operation

As of 24:00 on July 31, 2022, Kamchay Hydroelectric Station has been in safe operation for ten years after COD, with a cumulative total power generation of 4.48 billion KWH. It is remarkable that, in the operating year from 2021 to 2022, the annual electricity generation reaches 540 million KWH, which is 108.43% of the designed basic energy of 498 million KWH, setting a new record since COD.

Kamchay Hydroelectric project is the first renewable energy project invested and constructed by POWERCHINA in Cambodian in active response to the “Belt and Road” initiative, which is also a "star project" in Cambodian.
