Upper Marsyangdi A Hydropower Station generated more than 2 billion KWH of electricity
At 10:05 am on 16 November 2022, Upper Marsyangdi A hydropower Station generated more than 2 billion KWH of electricity since its commercial operation in 2017, which has played an important role in easing the power shortage in Nepal.
Upper Marsyangdi A hydropower Station is the first hydropower project invested by the company in Nepal. It is also an important investment project of the company to promote the implementation of the whole industrial chain integration strategy overseas under the guidance of the "Belt and Road" Initiative. The project has an installed capacity of 50MW, accounting for 2.3% of the total installed capacity of Nepal's electricity network. It officially entered commercial operation on January 1, 2017, and is the first hydropower project in Nepal that achieved power generation ahead of schedule.
